Summary Statement of Duties:  

Under the direction of the Assistant Chief Engineer For Engineering Services; plans, schedules, directs, and supervises the execution of engineering assignments for the design and maintenance of Turnpike highway, bridges, tunnels, buildings, toll plazas and related facilities.  Assists in the administrative duties of the Office of the Chief Engineer. 

 

Minimum Requirements: 

Education:     

Must have a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. 

 

Experience:  

Must have at least six (6) years of experience in highway and bridge design and construction engineering with at least three (3) years in a senior supervisory capacity. 

One year of experience in the operation of Autocad design software is preferred. 

 

License:        

Must have a valid Massachusetts class D motor vehicle license. 

Must be registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
 

Physical:        

Must be capable of performing all duties referred to in this description. 

 

Other:             

Must be self motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision. 

Must be experienced in the use of standard PC based application software.
