Real Estate Development

Pursuant to its enabling legislation, the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority at times sells or leases property rights that are deemed surplus to MassPike needs.  Disposition of real estate is typically done through competitive processes, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for disposition of long-term leaseholds, and Invitations to Bid (ITBs) for the sale of real estate.  Following receipt of lease proposals in response to RFPs, MassPike typically accepts public comment on proposals as part of its proposal evaluation process.
